How do you learn to be strong and when are you allowed to leave? Jen Zheng is a prodigy: married at 23 and divorced at 26. Now she’s working on becoming a widow for the killer vibes. She always had potential for great-mistakes, because with strict Chinese parents there is always a new way to fail and when you’re afraid of everything, there is no danger.
This comedy show will expose her ex husband’s real divorce petition to explore the expectations placed upon wives and the blame and shame we punish them with, if they should fail.
Jen Zheng is a BAFTA nominated, Queer Northern Irish grown Chinese comic and animation director based in London.
