Reclaim The Comedy Night

This special event brings together comedians, comedy club promoters and industry professionals for an important – and entertaining – conversation about harassment in the live comedy industry. We’ll kick off with a comedy show where 5 comedians perform their unique responses to experiences of harassment and assault. The show will be followed by an interactive Q&A with an expert panel. You’ll have the opportunity to ask questions, share experiences and participate in a meaningful conversation about how harassment happens and what can be done to stop it. 

This event forms part of a research project run by the University of Kent. You’ll have the opportunity to hear about our work so far from researchers and some of the comedians who have participated in it, and to shape the direction of our future work. Our mission is to support a live comedy industry that is not only dynamic and hilarious but also secure, respectful and supportive for all.
