After our successful first event we will be back, bringing together comedians, comedy club promoters and industry professionals for an important – and entertaining – conversation about harassment in the live comedy industry. We’ll kick off with a comedy show where comedians perform their unique responses to experiences of harassment and assault. The show will be followed by an open space discussion where you tell us what topics we most need to talk about. Together, we’ll find our next steps towards a live comedy industry that is not only dynamic and hilarious but also secure and supportive for all.
This event forms part of a research project run by the University of Kent. You’ll have the opportunity to hear about our work so far from researchers and some of the comedians who have participated in it, and to shape the direction of our future work.
